Bird Problem Solver
Tell us where the birds are, which bird it is and what it's doing. We'll show you the safest first step, the fix that fits and the guide to read next. If there's a nest in use, you'll see that first.
This tool needs JavaScript to run. You can still start with our bird proofing guide.
How this works
Each answer comes from a short list of rules we wrote by hand, and each rule cites the source it rests on. We're people just like you, not a pest control company, so we stick to fixes the experts back up: block the spot, take away the food, and leave active nests alone.
- If the nest might be in use, the first thing you see is the stop guidance and a link to our Nest Safety Check.
- If you're not sure which bird it is, we won't guess. You get a clue checklist and our nest ID guide instead.
- It doesn't cover state or local rules, and it can't see your roof. For big jobs, work at height or protected birds, call a licensed pro.
